There’s something that happens to couples the minute they get engaged.
They enter the wedding world full of excitement… and within about 48 hours they’re frustrated because no one will simply tell them what things cost.

At Richwood on the River, we believe pricing transparency matters. A lot.
As a venue owner, I understand there are many moving parts to weddings. Guest count matters. Catering matters. Custom details matter. But couples still deserve a starting point before filling out inquiry forms, scheduling calls, or spending hours researching venues that may not fit their budget in the first place.
That’s exactly why we include pricing directly on our website.
When couples visit our wedding package pages, they can immediately begin understanding what a Richwood wedding experience looks like ~ not just emotionally, but financially too.
And honestly? It saves everyone time.
Couples don’t need to awkwardly ask, “So… what does this actually cost?”
They don’t need to worry they’re walking into a sales pitch.
And they can quickly decide whether our venue aligns with their priorities and investment level.
Transparent pricing creates trust before we ever meet.
One of the biggest stressors in wedding planning is uncertainty. I’ve read countless conversations from brides online expressing frustration about hidden fees, vague “starting at” pricing, and spending weeks chasing information from venues. Couples are craving honesty and clarity in the wedding industry.
We hear that.
At Richwood, we want couples to understand what they’re receiving when they invest in this property and experience. Our packages include far more than just a ceremony site or reception hall. Depending on the package, couples may enjoy an entire wedding weekend experience with overnight accommodations, access to multiple gathering spaces, planning support, tables, chairs, linens, setup, and exclusive use of the property.
That matters when comparing venues.
Sometimes a venue rental fee may initially seem lower ~ until couples realize they still need to add lodging, rentals, setup crews, transportation logistics, or additional event spaces. Transparent pricing helps couples compare apples to apples instead of trying to decode what is or isn’t included.
I also think there’s something deeply respectful about transparency.
Wedding planning already comes with enough decisions, emotions, and financial conversations. Couples deserve information that helps them make wise choices without feeling pressured or overwhelmed.
Now, does every wedding cost exactly the same? Of course not. Every celebration is unique. But giving couples a realistic starting point allows them to dream responsibly and plan confidently.
At the end of the day, I never want a couple to feel intimidated reaching out to us. I want them to feel informed, welcomed, and cared for from the very beginning.
Because the truth is ~ finding your wedding venue should feel exciting. Not exhausting.
