Wedding ministry came as a complete surprise to me.  Just after I was ordained I was asked to do a wedding for a friend and I loved it.  After being trained by my mentor minister and the certified wedding planner at my spiritual center, I started Ceremonies by Sandy, because I enjoy working with a diverse client base, not all of which are interested in a church wedding.  I perform about fifty weddings per year.  I also perform funeral services and baby welcoming ceremonies that are spiritual, not religious.  I consider my work alternative ministry, a ministry without the dogma most consider “religion.”
